STATUTORY INSPECTION OF ANGLICAN AND METHODIST SCHOOLS
OCTOBER 2014 – OUTSTANDING
• The school has a very strong Christian ethos
• Collective Worship provides outstanding opportunities for spiritual development
• RE lessons make an excellent contribution to the Christian character of the school
• Very strong partnerships with the local and wider community and especially with St. Mark’s Church
• Outstanding leadership at all levels
On behalf of all children, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to the school.
We are a voluntary controlled, Church of England Primary School maintaining a strong partnership with the Parish Church of St Mark’s and the school is administered by the school governors in liaison with the Diocese of Rochester and Kent County Council.
The Vicar of St Mark’s is a member of the Governing Body.
As head teacher, my job is to ensure that we provide a good quality education for all of our children and to oversee the smooth running of the school on behalf of our Governing Body.
Our school’s very strong Christian ethos is fundamental to the life of the school and it permeates everything we do.
The staff of the school work extremely hard to provide a creative curriculum which challenges and stimulates the children.
There is also an extensive range of school clubs and inter-school competitions and there is a breakfast club for those who need it.
The atmosphere is one of hard work, fun and enjoyment, with children and staff all happy to be at school.
We are all extremely proud of our school and we are always keen to meet any visitors who would like to come and know us better.
If you are interested in looking around our school, please contact me to arrange a time to do so…
