WOW! - Term 6 has been busy. There were many visits out, a huge variety of sporting events, competitions, swimming galas, new playground equipement, summer fairs, camp outs and much much more. Good luck to everyone in Year 6 at their new schools and we hope that everyone involved in the school has a happy and enjoyable summer holiday.
We've tried to include as much as possible in this terms website. Below is a selection of photos of some of the classes taken during the term and you'll find other news and photos on other pages of the website. Hope you enjoy them. See you all again in September...
Jungle Week - A roaring success
Year R, Year1 and Year 2 all took part in a themed jungle week in June, as well as the trip to Drusillas the children also took part in a jungle fancy dress competition. Congratulations to all the winners
CSI - St Marks Style
There were some murky goings on in Year 6 as they were confronted with a crime scene at the beginning of this term. It looked like curtains for Mr Azzopardi! The investigation continued throughout the term with more clues appearing during the course of the term - not to mention a few Red Herrings! After a long and detailed investigation the perpertrator was only unmasked in the last week of term.
PS. No one was harmed in the making of this production!
Year 2 played host to some Japanese visitors this term. As well as learning something about Japan and Japanese culture they also had an chace to try out their origami skill with some real experts
Year 3 - Heritage Champions
Year 3 have been visiting the Tunbridge Wells museum and Dunorlan Park, studying the historical architecture of some of our old buildings in the town for their entry into the Heritage Champions competition which Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are running.
Cool Bewl for Year 6
The PTA funded a trip out to Bewl for Year 6 this term - you can find some photos and more details about this trip on the PTA pages here
How many?
Thank you to everyone who helped us to collect over 43,000 Sainsbury's vouchers. As soon as we know what we've got with them we'll let you know.
Hats off to Year 6
Year 6 have been making their own hats in their Art topic 'What a performance'. The hats are based on characters in stories. See if you can guess who they are!
Brand new Mercedes Benz
The school now has a brand new Mercedes car which has been donated by Mercedes-Benz of Tonbridge! It is a pedal car which is a scale model of a SLK class Mercedes and is proving popular with the children in Year R. A big thank you to Mark Terry and Kirk Russell for this fabulous donation.
Year 5 - Trip to Bedgebury
We nearly forgot! Year 5 were also out and about this term with a trip to Bedgebury Pinetum (sorry we didn't get any photos!) but we're sure they had a good time.
